Shipping Insurance & Carrier Charges

Moving tractors and heavy equipment involves independent carriers with their own requirements. This page explains how carrier charges and insurance are handled, so there are no surprises.

Effective October 15, 2026

1. Third-party carrier requirements

Affordable Tractors & Equipment coordinates transportation through independent logistics providers. Depending on the machine's size and weight, the route and the destination, a carrier may have requirements such as loading and unloading conditions, site access, documentation or scheduling windows.

2. Carrier-imposed charges

Some charges are set by carriers rather than by us — for example for special equipment, oversize handling or waiting time. Applicable charges known for your shipment are included in or explained with your quotation.

3. Carrier insurance requirements

Insurance arrangements and carrier requirements vary by shipment. We will tell you what insurance arrangements apply to your shipment and whether any option or requirement involves a charge before you confirm.

4. Customer responsibility for agreed charges

You are responsible for the transportation charges you agreed to in your quotation or sales agreement. You do not owe undisclosed insurance deposits, security deposits or other unexpected fees. Any additional material charge is handled in accordance with your written agreement and applicable law.

5. Changes to delivery arrangements

If you change the delivery address, schedule or site conditions after transportation has been arranged, the carrier may apply additional charges or adjust the schedule. We will explain any such change to you before it applies. See also our Order Cancellation & Shipment Processing Policy.

6. Affordable Tractors & Equipment's role

We coordinate the transportation on your behalf: obtaining delivery arrangements, communicating your delivery details to the carrier, and keeping you informed. The carrier performs the transportation under its own operating terms.

7. Written agreements control

The quotation, invoice or sales agreement for your transaction sets out the agreed transportation charges and arrangements. Delivery responsibilities, carrier requirements and any additional charges are governed by that written agreement and applicable law.
